Frank Scruggs P.A.
Frank Scruggs, Esq., has extensive experience as an employment lawyer, commercial litigator, and corporate board director. Currently, he serves on the boards of directors of Truist Financial Corporation and Truist Bank, where he is a member of the Compensation and Human Capital, Risk, and Trust Committees.
Previously, he served on the boards of directors of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc. (Florida Blue), Office Depot, Inc., and as a member of the Board of Regents of the State University System of Florida. He is a trustee emeritus of the University of Miami.
Scruggs served as Florida’s Secretary of Labor and Employment Security and, previously, as Assistant General Counsel to the Governor of Florida.
Through extensive board-related executive education, Scruggs earned the designation Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and received a Certificate in Cyber Security Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University. He completed the Directors Consortium at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
As an attorney, he advises companies and executives regarding employment law, conducts investigations for companies, negotiates employment agreements and severance agreements for executives, and litigates commercial disputes. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America in the fields of Employment Law and Commercial Litigation, Florida Super Lawyers, and the South Florida Legal Guide. He is a Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society consisting of less than one-half of 1% of American lawyers.
